FAQ
Questions sellers ask
Straight answers. If yours isn't here, call us or send the form — a real person replies.
How much is my golf cart worth?
In South Africa most used golf carts sell to a buyer like WeBuyCarts for R20 000 to R120 000. The biggest factors are the brand (Club Car, Yamaha and E-Z-GO hold value best), the age and type of the batteries (lithium is worth R15 000–R30 000 more than a tired lead-acid pack), the model year, seating (4- and 6-seaters fetch a premium), and condition. Send us photos and you'll have an exact written offer within 24 hours.
How do I sell my golf cart to WeBuyCarts?
Three steps: (1) tell us about the cart and upload photos on webuycarts.co.za — it takes about 3 minutes on your phone; (2) we send a written offer within 24 hours; (3) accept online, sign the sale agreement electronically and choose a collection time. We collect for free and pay by EFT before we drive away.
Do you buy golf carts that don't work?
Yes. We buy non-running carts, carts with dead batteries, flood- or salt-damaged carts, and carts missing chargers or keys. The offer will reflect the repair cost, but you still get a fair price without having to fix anything first.
Which golf cart brands do you buy?
All of them. Club Car, E-Z-GO, Yamaha, Excar, HDK, LVTong, Marshell, ICON, Evolution, Star EV and any other make — electric, lithium or petrol. We also buy utility carts, people-movers and fleet carts from clubs and estates.
Is the offer free, and am I obliged to accept it?
The valuation and offer are completely free and there's no obligation. Offers stay open for 7 days so you can compare us with a private sale or a trade-in. Most sellers accept because we remove the hassle: no viewings, no time-wasters, no transport to arrange.
How quickly do you pay?
On the day of collection, before the cart is loaded. We pay by EFT into your bank account and show you the proof of payment on site. If your bank is slow to clear, we wait — we never drive away before you've been paid.
Do you collect from golf estates?
Yes — most of the carts we buy live on estates like Fancourt, Zimbali, Pecanwood, Val de Vie and Silver Lakes. Just let security know we're coming, or arrange a visitor code, and our team will collect from your garage.
Will you match a higher offer?
If you have a genuine written offer from a dealer we'll look at it — send it with your submission. We price to what the market is actually paying, and because we collect and pay immediately, our net price is often better than a higher headline number that comes with fees, delays or the risk of the buyer not showing up.
